Quick starting post!
For someone like me who is trying to start on the road to physical health after years of inactivity and a chronic illness, finding an app like myfitness pal was a blessing. My friend Sally recommended it and I have been using it for 2 weeks now. You can keep track of everything you eat and how much exercise you do and it calculates everything for you. When I had my fitness evaluation at Powerhouse Gym this week they were able to give me specific pointers on how I could improve my diet by looking through my entries on myfitnesspal . I was excited about finding ways to improve my eating habits especially on the weekend days that I work, when I don't exercise and eat more fast, comfort food than healthy food. Having her see my entry for spam and potatoes for our Saturday dinner was a little embarrassing but at least she could tell I wasn't leaving anything out!! (It sounds gross but it's really quite good.) Anyway, I highly recommend trying myfitnesspal--you can use it online or get it as an app.
